Silent Hike Club | A Mindful Walk in Nature

Register Here!

what is the silent hike club?

The Silent Hike Club is a seasonal, membership-based mindful hiking experience designed to support intentional living, nervous system regulation, and deeper connection with nature and community.

Each hike is a 90-minute mindful nature immersion designed to help you slow down, reconnect, and restore balance through conscious movement, breath, and presence. This small-group experience (limited to 15 participants to preserve intimacy and presence) takes place at local Dayton, OH MetroParks, right outside the hustle and bustle of the city, inviting you to step away from daily noise and into the quiet wisdom of nature.

We begin by gathering in community for guided breathing, gentle mindful movement, grounding, and meditation to settle the body and mind. From there, we enter a silent hike through the woods, walking MINDFULLY together in shared stillness and awareness. Midway through the hike, we pause for additional grounding and mindfulness practices, allowing space to listen deeply—to the breath, the body, and the natural world around us.

The experience concludes with a gentle return to community. Participants are invited to enjoy provided water, tea, or coffee and share reflections from the journey in a supportive, open space to collaborate, and CONNECT!

This offering is ideal for those seeking clarity, nervous system regulation, deeper connection to nature, and a sense of mindful community—no prior meditation or hiking experience required.

The Roots of Forest Bathing & The Silent Hike Club

Restore balance, cultivate presence...

Forest bathing originates from the Japanese practice of Shinrin-yoku, which translates to “taking in the forest atmosphere.” Developed in Japan in the 1980s as a response to rising stress and burnout, Shinrin-yoku encourages slow, intentional time in nature using the senses—sight, sound, breath, and touch—to support mental clarity, nervous system regulation, and overall well-being.

Rather than focusing on distance or destination, forest bathing invites presence. Walking gently, breathing consciously, and listening deeply allow the body and mind to shift out of constant stimulation and into a state of restoration.

The Silent Hike Club is a modern-day interpretation of this ancient wisdom, adapted for today’s busy, over-connected world. Rooted in the principles of Shinrin-yoku, each hike blends mindful breathing, gentle movement, meditation, grounding, and silent walking through nature. By removing conversation and distractions, participants are offered space to reconnect—with themselves, with nature, and with community in a quieter, more intentional way.

This offering was created to restore balance, cultivate presence, and provide a simple yet powerful antidote to the fast-paced rhythms of modern life—one mindful step at a time.
